John T for Model Number KSSS36QDXO4 The ice maker does not make Ice. It can grind the ice or deliver cubed ice from the dispenser if I manually fill it with ice. I get cold water out of the door dispenser. Also, I don't know the best way to thaw out the water line if that is the problem. Should I just replace the ice maker...if so, which kit should I order?
Answer Hello John, You want to check to make sure that the pins on the motor wheel are not broken. If this is the case the icemaker will not cycle and you will have to replace the motor module W10190935. You also want to check your emitter board. If you look at the right wall of unit there will be a flashing red light. When you close the flapper on the left side it the right side should glow solid red.
