Wally for Model Number et22dqrdw01 I have a 16 yearold whirlpool refrig ET22DQRDW01 that has stopped making good cubes....the icemaker overflows the tray (so the water "Pools) in the tray. The ejector can't push the cubes out, because they are not separated (one big chunk). Do I need to replace the whole ice maker kit, the control module or the water dispenser valve ?
Answer Hello Wally, It may be the water valve is not fully seating causing water to seep into the icemaker. It could also be a bad icemaker module. You can pull the tubing for the icemaker out and cycle the icemaker. See if the water valve is letting water in even though the icemaker is stops calling for ice. If this is the case then you would need a water valve 4318046. If not then a new motor module W10190935. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, December 14, 2012
