Tracy My Whirlpool Cabrio top load washer quit working and gave me the F51 code. I ordered a new rotor motor sensor and put it on. I put everything back together. I marked most items I took off so I would know the alignment. But there was on piece of plastic that I didn’t take off, but it fell off went I had the stater and copper coil off replacing the sensor. I thought i had it back in the right alignment, but apparently I don’t. The washer works fine now, but the faster it spins the louder it makes this roaring noise. It’s so loud you can her in the driveway with the washer running in the laundry room. Suggestions or details on how that plastic piece goes back on? Thanks in advance....
Answer Hello Tracy, if the rotor is not contacting the stator then an increasing roar noise in spin is usually an indication of worn/faulty spin bearings. Unknow what plastic part you are describing, hopefully it is not a broken off part.
