Chad for Model Number MDB7749AWB1 Dishwasher is not draining at all, unless you hit the cancel and drain button. I have checked for clogging and can't find anything clogged. I have also ran the dishwasher with the drain line in a bucket during the cycle and the washer is not draining until you hit the cancel and drain button. Is the drain pump bad? Is the optical water indicator bad? Are both bad? Could there be an issue with the electronic control not telling the other parts when to engage?
Answer Chad, The drain pump WPW10348269 isn't the issue, it works when "forced" to. The OWL sensor isn't likely to be the issue either, that lengthens or shortens a cycle based on the clarity of the water in the tub. You may want to check and make sure the top (optical sensor) isn't coated with sediment or debris that may disrupt the operation. So that pretty much leaves the W11202746 control board as the culprit. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, December 18, 2014
