Tim for Model Number MDB4949SDM0 Dishwasher is not generating enough force during wash cycles to spin the arms. Suspected that the circulation pump was the issue but changed it out from one I ordered from you and it didn't fix the issue. Could the turbidity sensor be the issue? The pump does come on and I can see water coming out of the arms but just not with enough pressure to spin them and clean dishes.
Answer Tim, The turbidity sensor senses the amount of debris in the wash water, it will extend or reduce the cycle time based on the input from the sensor to the control board. The more likely problem is a lack of water in the tub. Start the dishwasher on a regular cycle, allow the machine to fill and wash for 3 to 5 minutes, then unlatch the door. Remove the lower rack and measure the depth of the water in the center of the tub, it should be approximately 3/4 to 1 inch deep. If not replace the fill valve WPW10327249. We presume you've already checked the spray arms for hard water deposits and debris blocking the venturi holes in the spray arms. Read More...
