Nicholas W. for Model Number 98007018 During a storm on Sunday, we were using our oven to cook. When the timer went off, the oven was only warm. We discovered that the flame was not lit nor would it ignite. While trying this, we also noticed that we did not smell any gas. We took apart the back and used a tester light. After trying to turn the oven on, there were 2 clicking sounds (trying to ignite) and the tester light lit up. The stovetop works, but the oven does not. Does it sound like the gas valve needs to be replaced? Thank You.
Answer Hello Nicholas. If there is power coming to the gas valve and the igniter is working properly, but no gas is being released, you will need to replace the gas valve. Hope this helps. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, June 2, 2011
