Tom for Model Number WFG110AVQ0 The oven portion of the stove does not work. On occasion it will come on but lately nothing happens. I removed the back cover or sheild that has the gas saftey valve behind it and measure the voltage at the valve. When the oven knob is first turned on it reads about 3 Volts AC and then slowly drops to 2.5 volts where it stays at all times that the knob is turned on. I tapped on the saftey valve and then the gas would come on and the oven would start. Is the voltage I am showing enough to activate the saftey valve? The ignitor glows orange and appears to be working just fine. I think it needs a gas saftey valve or is the power that comes from the oven control knob, not enough? Your help is appreciated.
Answer Hello Tom. No, based on the information, the igniter W10918546 is weak and will need to be replaced. The voltage needs to be higher. Hope this helps. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, December 5, 2011
