Bill for Model Number sf315pept2 When I turn on the oven it starts a count down timer and depending on the temperature you put it on it might take more or less time but it does not ignite and you can not smell gas. I already got a new gas valve part number [98014893] and it's still doing the same thing! PLEASE HELP!
Answer Hello Bill. The most common failure is the igniter. The easiest way to test the igniter is with a clamp on amp meter TJMA-600CFA. The gas valve will not open until 3.2 to 3.6 amps of current passes through the igniter. If you never achieve this current draw, the igniter W10918546 requires replacement. Hope this helps!
