Answer Darlene, To install the level spring you will need to remove the cabinet of the unit by removing the screws in the back of the control panel (one on either side endcap). Once the screws are loosened roll the control panel up from the front of the unit and disconnect the lidswitch harness. You will then use a flat blade screwdriver and pop the clips out holding the back panel to the cabinet. once loose you remove the cabinet.
