Jawgnat for Model Number DU1055XTVB8 I recently replaced the food chopper assembly. But now I am not sure that the lower spray hub arm is working properly or installed properly. My question: When I use a pliers to pull up on the top the lower spray hub arm, should I be able to pull it up a little ways? Because I can.
Answer Hello Jawgnat, The spray arm has to be loose to be able to spin. There will always be a bit of slack in the spray arm so it can move freely with the water pressure. If the spray arm is not spinning freely, there has to be a water pressure issue, usually caused by a bad chopper assembly, a separated spray arm, a lost grommet/gasket in the feed tube that feeds water pressure to the center spray arm. You should also make sure no holes are stopped up in the spray arms. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, May 12, 2015
