Kevin for Model Number mdbh989aws3 My dishwasher closes and there is tension when opening. Visual inspection of the latch and switch look fine. When I push the start button it does not light or start. After I open and close the dishwasher several times, sometimes closing harder than normal the dishwasher will finally start. What part do I need to replace?
Answer Kevin, more than likely either the door latch [WPW10404412] is not engaging the microswitches in the latch properly, or the switches [WP8269209] are worn out and intermittently engaging.
