  • Common failure symptoms: won't spin or stops before high-speed spin; door/lock light doesn't come on; intermittent spin or door/lock error
What's included: 1 spin enable switch Install notes:
  • Disconnect power (and turn off water) before servicing
  • Access the door latch assembly; remove the door boot clamp if required
  • Transfer wires to the new switch one at a time; secure the switch in the latch housing
  • Reassemble, verify the door locks, and run a spin test

Frederick for Model Number MLE2000AYW

Doesn’t drain and has no high-speed spin. So far: Changed drain pump. Checked drain hose height and for blockage. Changed wax motor. The old one had snapped off the actuator. Installed a new circuit board. Small improvement but clothes are still way too wet. I just ordered the belt and isolator. Now I just read about the door switch preventing hi-speed. Before I order is there a test for the old one to know for sure it’s bad? Haven’t had laundry in two weeks. Getting old! Anything else a cause for this condition?

When the plunger is pressed, there should be continuity. It would also be recommended that the spin basket is rotated by hand to identify if it can rotate freely.
