Glenda L for Model Number MGS5870ADW Hi. I got my new ignition switch (74004095), and I got the front of the stove off, behind the knobs. How do I get the old ignition switch off? Do I cut the wires at the old ignition switch and restrip them? After I have the wires off, will I be able to twist the old ignition switch out of there or will I have to do some more dis-assembly to get the old switch off? Thanks, glenda
Answer Glenda, The ignition switch should have connectors that disconnect. If not then the new switch would have wires coming off of it to splice to the wiring. When taking switch off you just pull straight out and push new one straight on to lock in place. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, July 2, 2013
