Bob W for Model Number JES8850BAB Hello and thank you The left front burner control started making clicking noises. The burner is not on and the red indicator light us off. I've not yet removed the panel cover or the control itself. #1) any idea what nay have caused this? #2) is AP6016528 the correct replacement? #3) would you suggest removing the control pending arrival of the replacement? Answer Bob, The WPW10185286 / 74011596 LF switch, "custom" is the correct switch to order for the model number you supplied. Make sure you remove power to the range before you remove the control panel and/or switch. There maybe a damaged or shorted wire or terminal, but it's more likely a damaged circuit on the PC Board inside the control switch, and one of the power legs to the burner has been eliminated so the clicking noise.
