Patel for Model Number JES9900BAS I have a Jenn-Air range model JES9900BAS and I have taken out the right front burner (dual burner) switch and it reads WPW10185286, I did this because the right front burner stopped working. One of my friends told me, it could be the switch or it could be an element. He said first test switch as it is easy to remove and test. So I removed the switch and also I was able to locate the switch on your website. But before placing an order, I want to make sure that switch is bad or good. If bad, I can order. But the question is how to test the switch. Can you please tell me step by step how to test it? I do have a multimeter. Thanks
Answer Hello Patel, You will need to remove the wiring from terminals S1 and S2. Measure the voltages from terminals S1 and S2 at LO, MED, and HI. The reading from S1 to S2 should read about 240Vac. If so, the issue is the element. If not, replace the infinite switch WPW10185286. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Saturday, February 19, 2022
