Dagian for Model Number JED8230ADS The replacement switch W11088181 wire terminals are not labeled the same as the OEM swich. The replacement switch has a H1 and Hc terminal. When I connect the old H2 wire to the new Hc terminal it makes both burners cycle on and off & takes along time for the burner to reach the desired setting. Do I need to reverse the H1 and Hc wires on the replacement switch?? Thx
Answer Dagian, the Hc terminal on the new switch is going to be H2. In regards to both burners turning on, it is likely that the second switch has failed and has a closed circuit on the H2 side of the circuit. This can be tested (with the power turned off to the appliance) by testing the other switch from H2 to L2 for continuity. If there is continuity while the switch W11088181 is in the off position, it has failed and would need to be replaced. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, April 2, 2020
