Gerald W. for Model Number rf364pxkw Sometimes after cooking on high, I will turn down the knob on the burner down to Say 3 or 4 to continue cooking but it will continue to cook on high.( surface unit switch part #ap3095444 )needs replaced? Where is it located, how do I get to it,is it a fairly easy job for a novice ? This is a glass top whirlpool 364 super capacity, front left large burner.
Answer Hi Gerald. The infinite switch is bad. It is part # WP3149400. For small surface unit switch order WP3149404. Remove Power. Remove the knob. Then the front 2 screws that hold the switch to the panel. Then mark the wires or take a cell picture. Make sure you have tight connections. Thank You. Read More...
