Tom for Model Number RF388LXG The left rear burner on this Whirlpool electric range will not work at all (i.e it does not get hot, and the red "on" indicator light does not come on as well). I tried replacing the burner element (which did not otherwise appear damaged or burned out), but this did not solve the problem. What should I do? Should I try replacing the control switch? If not, do you have any other ideas as to what I should try, either to fix or diagnose the problem?
Answer Hello Tom. If there is power coming to the switch, but not out to the element, you will need to replace the surface switch WP3149400. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
