Dennis for Model Number SVE47600B Can you please advise of the process for replacing this part? Also, can you tell me what the difficulty level would be considered for such a repair? I would like this information in order to determine if this is something that I am comfortable completing myself.
Answer Dennis, This is not a very difficult process. You first need to remove power to the range (reset the breakers to off) To remove the control panel, open the oven door as wide as possible. Remove four(4), 1/4 " hex head screws from the bottom of the control panel. Grasp the control panel by placing hands on the right and left sides of the panel, pull out and down to disengage. Be careful when removing the panel, you don't want to accidentally disconnect the wires from the switches or the ERC/Clock. Usually there is enough wire in the harness to remove the components from the panel, without needing to disconnect any wires, but if you do, make sure you label or mark any wires you disconnect first, it'll make the re installation a lot easier.
