Will for Model Number WDF530PLYW0 whirlpool Dishwasher won't drain.... Pump spins when power is applied via controller (cancel is pressed, pump spins for several seconds). Drain is clear, unobstructed, and attached (unit has worked trouble free for past year or so) All controls seem to be working, will complete cycle up to the draining portion without issue Would the float switch or the sensor be the problem, is there a way to test this without replacing parts?
Answer Hello Will, The float switch and sensor would not cause a problem of no drain. You will want to check to make sure that the motor is getting power to it when the unit is calling for water. It is possible that the drain pump has failed. If there is power getting to the pump during the drain cycle then you would need to replace pump. If pump is running then it could be an issue of the impeller being faulty. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, February 8, 2013
