Lee H for Model Number LSN1000KQ0 My Whirlpool washer will fill water and agitate to wash clothes, however it will not drain or spin to move to the rinse cycle. I had to take the clothes out of the machine and now my machine is just filled with water until I drain it out. Do I have to change the lid switch? Thank you
Answer Lee, Yes, you probably will need a new lid switch 3949247V or at least that's where you want to start. The washer is designed to fill and agitate, with the lid up/open. But, the lid has to be down (lid switch activated) in order for the washer to drain and spin.
