Sam February 28, 2024 for Model Number LXR7144EQ1 The washer still won’t start the rinse cycle without opening and closing the lid. I’ve replaced the motor coupler (broken), motor (burning smell), transmission (oil leak), clutch, and lid switch. What’s next ?
1 Answer Sam, if the pressure switch W10337780 has continuity from the violet wire to the pink wire at the time of failure, the failure would be in the timer WP3948850. Unfortunately, this part has been discontinued by the manufacturer and is no longer available. Read More...
Cory November 15, 2023 for Model Number 110.18542890 I bought this harness , but my harness is about 6" shorter where protective casing is ? is this the right harness ? do I just cut and modify the new one or is there a shorter one ?
1 Answer Cory, the lid switch 3949247V would be used with the model provided. The extra length can be looped in the console so that it fits neatly. Read More...
Larry July 04, 2020 for Model Number gcam2792tq3 washer would not drain or spin.i pushed hard on the lid and it would work.is it still a bad lid swich
1 Answer Larry, It sounds likely that the hinge may not be making contact with the lid switch so you will want to check this. If the hinge is meeting with the lid switch properly then the lid switch is the most likely cause for this issue. Read More...

Dee September 16, 2018 for Model Number LSQ8243HQ Washer fills and agitates, then just stops. If I move the timer to rinse cycle, it makes a noise, if I move timer to end cycle, buzzer goes off, as it should. I'm thinking, it's the lid switch, hoping it's not the timer ($$) or she might be going bye bye. Washer is 18yo, repaired a couple parts ($10) about 5 yrs ago and hoping I can get a few more yrs out of her. Thank you
1 Answer Dee, move the timer to the spin cycle, take a small screw driver and press it down into the lid switch, you should hear a slight click and the washer should start to spin. If you do not hear the click and the washer does not start to spin, replace the lid switch, part number is 3949247V Read More...
Emma July 24, 2018 for Model Number LSQ9544KQ0 My washing machine (17 years old) has problems advancing to the next part of the cycle. I was able to finish a load only by moving the dial to three different cycles (normal, permanent press and delicates) to do the tasks of draining, rinsing and spinning. The washer stopped when going from high to low agitation, and before it would drain. I read that this may be due to the timer switch being broken (although not fully broken as I finally got it to drain and spin using the delicates cycle) or perhaps the lid switch being broken. How can I know which one it is? thanks
1 Answer Emma, With the timer not advancing the timer would be the most likely cause for this issue. Read More...

1 Answer Hello Archtop, I'm sorry but this part 8055256 has been discontinued by the manufacturer and no satisfactory substitutions have been provided. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. Read More...
Theresa September 25, 2016 for Model Number LSR8233JQO Washer will not start at all. Could it be the lid switch or something else? Power is on and we checked the fuse panel.
Reid S. June 05, 2016 for Model Number lsr8433kq0 Hello sirs, I had to disassemble my washer and now it shakes on spin, which it didn't do before. There are two little gold colored pins that look like nails with a flat on the shank, and a small hole near the point, which go through holes in the triangular base with the damper pads. I cant locate these on diagram. They have a little translucent plastic cup under them. I thought they may be shear pins to assist repair as the cup would catch the piece if they broke and fell out. I tilted the machine and one fell out, and I placed them through the two bottom holes, and the washer then shook violently; I removed the tub and saw there were three holes in a line they would fit through and placed them there but the machine still shakes. Are they needed and properly located or do you think I stretched the springs and/or do I need the friction pads replaced? Thank you in advance for your kind attention to my question.
1 Answer Reid, You do not want those pins in place because they are just for shipping purposes and with them being in place the unit will shake. Read More...
