Cristy for Model Number Roper RUD3000 Our dishwasher won't start anymore unless we put a 9 volt battery on it's side with a shim underneath it, under the latch. Everything is sounding like it's catching when we shut the door, but it won't run unless we use the battery and shim. What part would we need?
Answer Hello Cristy, What you would want to check is to make sure that the latch, lever WP3368954 is not broken or cracked. Also check the latch bolt WP3380854 and check wiring. You also want to make sure that there are not cracks in the door liner around the latch assembly and check for loose screws. Read More...
