Phil M for Model Number mbd4100awq what holds the float itself in the dishwasher old one popped right out ---the new one pictured here does not show a clip or anything ,,,what stopps it from popping up and out like the orig. one?? where can i get the part i need --i found ap4390017 but no clip or any type of fastener ?
Answer Phil, There should be a nut WP911265 that you screw the shaft of the float stem WP99002363 through(three or four turns) to keep that from happenning. Hold the nut above the water level switch lever,with a pair of needle nose pliers, drop the float through the tub opening and turn the float 3 or 4 revolutions, make sure the stem does not get twisted or bent.
