F20 for Model Number WFW8300SW00 When I run a wash cycle the drum fills with water and agitates for a little while. Then it quits and throws an F20 code. I have to hit cancel and it drains ok. Then I can run a rinse and spin or drain and spin cycle. I have checked the water input hoses and they are clear, filters are cleaned, and water pressure is good entering the drum. Pressure switch? Is there a way to check that before I order a new one? Could it be something else?
Answer Hello Sir, the water level pressure switch is part W11417619 it is also recommended the airline tubing be replaced along with it W11252474. The pressure switch has 3 sets of internal contacts (wash/rinse/oversuds) thru which the control board determines the water level in the tub, if the correct level is not reached within the allowed time the F20 (underfill) fault code shows. Because the switch works with very low air pressure it is not practical to try to check its operation. What would be checked is that the hot/cold supply is giving a good flow of water into the tub, the drain hose is positioned so as to not allow a siphon, if that checks ok, and the code appears on only the wash fill then the pressure switch and airline tubing are recommended to be replaced.
