Robert for Model Number mde9700ayw Would this sensor (Thermistor Part Number: AP4045224) with 8740 ohms at 77 deg cause dry not to come on at all? All I have is the light inside dryer that comes on when door is open and goes off when door is closed. I can not get anything else the panel will not light up at all. I have 220 volts at the junction at the back of the dryer and those conections are tight and show no signs of heat or corrosion. Thanks, Robert
Answer Hello Robert. No, the thermistor WP35001191 will not cause the dryer not to run. You will need to test and see if there is power going to the front control board. If not, you may have a bad PCB assembly WP35001153. If there is power there and the board does not work, you will need to replace the control board 35001227 You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps.http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
