J for Model Number MDE9700AYW My dryer will not heat up, so I opened it up. My question is if I put a multi meter on the contacts on the Thermistor should it register on my meter. I checked all of the sensors on the heater and all of them registered. The thermistor did not. I do not want to order the new part if its not the right part. Thank you for you help in this matter.
Answer Hello J. You can test the thermistor. It should read 10,000 ohms at 77°. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter.
