Kayla for Model Number WED5200VQ1 My dryer stopped heating, we replaced the heating element and it worked perfectly one time. Then it quit heating again. We replaced the thermal fuse and it worked for two loads. Now it won't heat properly. Sometimes it will heat up a little other times it just blows cold air. What could be the problem?
Answer Hello Kayla. You will need to check the vent. It sounds like it may have a vent issue. If the vent is clear, then check the blower housing and wheel. Last would be the timer or motor not allowing it to heat or a bad temp switch. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
