Kim for Model Number WED5100vqo My dryer made a clattering sound when I pushed the button to start. It started the next time with no noise but didn't heat. I unplugged it, plugged it back in and it heated up and dried a blanket. Then I tried to start it again to dry some other items, but it made a racket, came on but won't heat. Now it doesn't want to come on...Help! Kim
Answer Kim, With the unit making a noise without heating then this sounds like it may be a centrifugal switch issue with the motor. You will want to check to make sure that the dryer is clean of lint on the inside and if it is dirty clean it especially around the motor. The lint build up can cause issue with the switch and if it is good then the motor will most likely be the issue. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, December 18, 2017
