Joe K for Model Number GEW9200LW0 Dryer was not Heating. 1. I cleaned out every part of dryer to remove Lint. Now Clean. 2. I replaced Thermal Cut off, High Limit Thermo, Heater Element & Thermal Fuse with all New Parts. 3. The Dryer worked for 2 loads and will not Heat again. 4. I did a continuity test on Thermal Cut off, High Limit Thermo, Heater Element, Thermistor & Thermal Fuse. 5. Thermal Cut off and Thermistor show no Continuity. Appreciate any thoughts on why New Thermal Cut off now has No Continuity and should I also replace Thermistor? What may be causing these Shorts?
Answer Joe, The thermal cutoff on this unit continuing to blow will be caused by a vent that is clogged. You will want to check the vent to the outside of the home. The thermistor will not read continuity but will read resistance. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, March 19, 2018
