John for Model Number Kenmore 110 92596100 The thrust washer cracked in several places and the agitator assembly came loose. How do you remove the agitator cap to reach the agitator bolt that secures bolt to the drive shaft? A diagram would be useful. How is the thrust washer attached to the agitator assembly? Thank you for your help.
Answer John, You may want to order the agitator repair kit 285748 and the Thrust washer 285587. There is an informative video attached to 285748 that will answer all your inquiries. The thrust washer is not "attached" to the lower agitator assembly, there are openings or slots in the agitator that align with the "key ways" on the thrust washer, once installed a small dab od white lithium grease on the top of the washer will help to keep it working for a while.
