Scott for Model Number Maytag MEDC215EW1 dryer Maytag MEDC215EW1 dryer. Always use the timed dry mode. The timer will not advance, no heat. Tried automatic mode, no heat. I ordered and installed timer WPW10185982. Replaced timer, no change. Any ideas?
Answer Hello Scott, You should check the centrifugal switch in the motor for lint build-up and operation. This passes voltage to both the heating element and the timer motor. If there are no harness issues, this will be your issue. If cleaning the lint build-up does not correct the centrifugal switch operation, the motor assembly 279827 will need to be replaced to correct the issue. Read More...
