Darlene T Fayetteville , AR August 22, 2014 Bad dryer timer After calling Whirlpool customer support learned that a replacement timer would be $136. The CSR gave me the part number needed. Online I found AppliacePartsPros. I called and got a very personable CSR who took my order. I was assured the part was a genuine, new--not rebuilt--timer. My order was placed in minutes. Although I ordered standard shipping and my part arrived in 2 days!! Unfortunately Whirlpool had given me the wrong part number so I contacted AppliancePartsPros and reordered a correct part and received a return authorization for the wrong part. This transaction was handled very professionally and quickly. Again, I requested the part be shipped by standard ground. It arrived THE NEXT DAY!! WOW! I am so impressed with AppliancePartsPros, particularly since I was a first-time customer and I was somewhat apprehensive since I had no experience with them. I would highly recommend AppliancePartsPros based on my experience. The customer service reps are very personable, knowledable and professional! Robert H Renton , WA March 11, 2015 1 no heat on high or low settings and sometimes on medium heat setting 2 no auto cool down I replaced the cycle switch, fixing the lack of heat. The timer switch replacement fixed the auto cool down. I watched a cycle switch replacement on Youtube, demonstrating removal of the top console, which answered the only question I had about the repair. The timer switch was a hundred bucks. The only thing to be said about that is that it was a lot cheaper than a repairman or replacing the dryer. Karen W Omaha , AR January 24, 2022 Appliance: Whirlpool Electric Dryer WED4815EW1 The timer knob stripped. After searching and watching videos, I determined that the only way to fix my dryer was to replace the entire timer. I also needed a new knob for the timer. Unfortunately, you can not purchase just 1 knob, you have to purchase a package that contains 1 of each of the knobs on the panel. The repair was very easy! There was a video on the AppliancePartsPros website that showed exactly how to make the repair. You do not have to be an expert to make this repair. Rick V Lindale , TX June 06, 2022 Appliance: Maytag Laundry, Electric Dryer MEDC215EW1 The timer knob wasn’t advancing and turning the dryer off. Did a little research online. Watched a little video on how to replace the timer. Ordered the part and it got here the next day. It was so simple. A few screws held the back panel on. Two screws held the part on. Just unplugged the connectors, took out the old and put in the new part. And the connectors are all different, so I didn’t even have to worry about what plugged where. Honestly probably took maybe 10 minutes, counting moving, drying out, and unhooking and hooking back up. Easiest repair I've ever done.
