Sandy O. for Model Number AED4475TD My wife emptied the dryer and tried to start another load. When you push the start button, nothing happens. No noise or anything. I replaced the door switch, the thermal fuse, and had the start button checked but still nothing happens. I had an electrician check the power plug and it's good. What's next? Answer Hello Sandy, The only components you didn't check were the timer WPW10185972 and the motor 279827. The easiest way to test the motor is to reach inside the unit and spin the drum while holding the door switch and the push-to-start switch. If this doesn't cause the unit to start up, the timer is the issue. If it does start, the start winding in the motor has failed. Read More...
