Tim O. for Model Number RED4440VQ1 Dryer works only on high heat setting. Has been like this for weeks. Today would not heat at all on high, turned timer to low heat and it started heating again. Before this that position would not even come on. Right now comes on high heat position no heat. Other settings do not work at all. Is it the timer.
Answer Hello Tim, As long a s the temperature switch is operating properly and there are no harness or connection issues, the most likely issue is a quick cycling thermostat. It is possible for the problem to be caused by the exhaust ducting and/or the timer. I would suspect the timer last though as it is not one of the more common issues. Read More...
