Dennis Hellbusch for Model Number AED4475TQ1 Dryer is heating but sometimes does not shut off by itself! When this happens the timer has not advanced to off. It will shut off by manually turning it to off. I'm thinking I need part # AP6016537 Thank You
Answer Dennis, The timer would be a possibility, if it advances and shuts off in a "timed dry" mode, then it's not likely a timer issue. First check the venting and vent hood, A restricted vent or vent hood will cause an air flow issue and the dryer wont heat properly, that in turn will not allow the timer to advance in an "auto Dry" cycle. You may als need to check the blower housing and the lint filter to make sure there's no build up inside the internal vent system. Read More...
