Dryer heats and runs, but will not shut off. Do we need a new timer and what parts are compatible? Thanks, Chuck

Charles, Yes you will most likely need to replace the timer WP9830714. you also need to check the resistor 279872 attached to the timer terminals to make sure it has not failed first. If it has failed, the timer will not advance, also.
