Corinna F Naples , FL March 05, 2017 Appliance: Kenmore Electric Dryer 11096374210 Dryer would not turn on and off normally Suddenly the timer knob malfunctioned and the dryer would not run for more than 10 minutes, if I attempted to advance the timer the dryer would shut off, abnormally. I was told by an appliance repairman who had come to look at my washer that the timer was 300.00 plus labor and that I should probably just get a new dryer. I researched this site and found that the timer part was only 116.00 and looked easy to put in so I took a chance and ordered the part. The part came in a day! I had asked my husband to put it on, but I watched the video and it looked so easy, and he was on the phone at the time, so I pulled out the dryer and took the back plate off and did exactly what the video said to do. I was done with the repair by the time he was off his call, and was plugging in the dryer to test my repair before putting the back plate back on, I advanced the timer knob and sweet success!!!! My husband is the electronics repairman, so I felt pretty good to be able to do this myself. :). So very easy with the video! Thank you very much!!!! Ronald S San Marcos , TX October 24, 2014 Our 20 yr old kenmore dryer would not start/run Did some research, determined the timer was the problem, ordered the unit. Your web site said it would ship the same day, and to my joy, I had the timer within 24 hours. And within just a few minutes I had the new timer replaced and the 20 year dryer was running like new. W. Robert V Lebanon , PA January 07, 2026 Appliance: Model 96282100 Dry would not start with the timer in the 10 o'clock position Replaced the timer. My timer did not have the blue jumper going from BU to W. I pulled it and put my (BU) Blue and (W) White wires on the posts. It worked. The dryer was also turning off at various times for no reason, so I replaced the door switch as well. Looking back, it was probably just the timer going out. My wife REFUSES to get a new dryer. She loves it, and with you folks around, it's easy to get parts for it and repair it myself. Replaced the belt, the rollers, the fuzzy gasket and some other parts last year. Original owners since 1991. Momma is happy!!! Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes Tools: Pliers, Wrench Set
