Tracy for Model Number 1 10 60902990 I was just chatting with parts dept and they suggested asking you my question. Something feel out of the overhead cabinet and broke my timer knob off of the stem. Do I need to replace the complete timer unit (AP3100522) and if so, does it come with instructions?
Answer Tracy, We'd expect you to need a new timer WP3976576 in the near future, if not now. If what ever fell and broke the timer dial knob, was probably pretty heavy, chances are the timer shaft is bent or may have become out of alignment with the internal contacts of the timer. No it will not come with installation instructions, but it's not that hard a repair to perform. Unplug the power cord, remove the three or four screws across the back side of the control panel and "roll" it forward from the top. Remove the timer mounting screws, and reverse the procedure to install. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, July 1, 2013
