Kathleen for Model Number LE5800XSW3 My whirlpool electric dryer stopped heating but kept running. I have tested continuity and all checks out fine with heating element, thermal fuse, thermostat, etc. There is also a very distinct burn or plastic smell at the timer. Can I assume the timer is the issue? I'm not finding a clear explanation to check continuity on it. There was a bit of discoloration on the wire coming off high limit thermostat (which connects to the heating element). Thoughts?
Answer Hello Kathleen. You will need to test for power from the timer to the heater. If it is not there, you will need to replace the timer on the unit. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, September 23, 2016
