David B Trinity , TX July 17, 2016 Appliance: Model WHIRLPOOL GAS DRYER. Timer was not advancing I had a gas dryer in storage a few years. I guess setting around didn't sit well with it. First I converted it to propane from natural gas. This was relatively simple with a kit from appliancepros.com After a few weeks of use my wife mentioned the dryer didn't seem to be working as it should. After a bit of investigation we noticed that the timer wasn't always advancing, and the heat cycles weren't consistent. I ordered a new timer and installed it as the applianceparts video directed. The video made the replacement very easy and and best of all, the problem was solved and I saved myself a service fee. Win ... win for me. Paul W New Orleans , LA March 15, 2020 Appliance: Model WHIRLPOOL LGR5620KQ1 Cycle timer not advancing no heat The cycle timer had been buzzing for a while, but I just left it alone until it died. When it did, it must have caused the Dryer cycle thermostat and thermal fuse to overheat and fail. Anyway, while I was behind the dryer changing one thing, it was just as easy to change the other two. Honestly, the videos on appliancepartspros made finding and replacing the parts simple. One difference on my dryer was a "Cycle End Buzzer" switch that was wired into the cycle timer. The terminals were there, under the main connector. Labeled and easy to replace. The connectors on the wires were really tight, so I had to use a screwdriver to pry them off. Caveat, the edges of the back cover are razor sharp, so don't let it slide through your fingers when moving it out of the way. Replaced Cycle timer, dryer cycle thermostat and thermal fuse. Worked first time. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes Tools: Nut Drivers, Screwdrivers
