Mike for Model Number 10657575791 Periodically the refrigerator gets warm and ice builds up on the back of freezer (inside). If I unplug the refrigerator for a couple days, it starts working again for about a week or two then freezes up again.
Answer Hello Mike, This issue would be caused by a faulty defrost circuit. You will want to pull the rear wall in the freezer compartment and test the defrost thermostat WPW10225581 and the defrost heater WP2323198 for continuity. If one does not have continuity then replace the faulty part. If both check ok then you would need to replace the defrost controller 4388932. The defrost thermostat would need to be checked while sitting in ice. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
