Linda P. for Model Number Kenmore Model #11082980120 My Kenmore washer has quit working. Some of the cycles wouldn't stop running on their own and now none of the cycles will run. Do I need to replace the timer? If so, how do I do that on this model? Thanks Linda
Answer Hello Linda. Check and make sure the lid switch W10820036 is not broke on the machine. It sounds like there could be two problems. The timer WP3351119 will need to be replaced for the sticking cycles. If the lid switch is good, the timer may be the only problem. To replace the timer you will need to remove the screws in the bottom of the corners on the front of the control panel. The control panel will pull forward and flip backwards. You will need to remove the knob from the timer by unscrewing it off the timer, and remove the screws and wires securing the timer. Reinstall in reverse order. Hope this helps. Read More...
