Rhouse for Model Number KAWS677EQ0 Kitchenaid washer will fill but will not agitate. It is silent except for ticking down of timer in cycle which it does as it normally will do in cycle. Timer knob will rotate around until it hits drain point and then it will drain and spin. Then on the rinse cycle it will fill to appropriate level and will stop again, not agitating. It will then rotate to the drain point and drain and spin again. I think it is the timer but I am not sure. I have worked on my appliances myself for many years so I want to know what kind of repair I am looking at. Thank you.
Answer Rhouse, you're on target, based on the information the timer WP3950736 is the place to start. The motor runs in the spin drain direction, that solves the motor and wiring issue. The timer reverses polarity and that controls the direction of the motor. You probably have a damaged contact inside the timer. Read More...
