Sopan123 for Model Number westinghouse washer timer 3951702e a comment first: great videos, but i noticed in the timer replacement vid, the tech did not replace the knob keeper black plastic lock shaft as he reassembled the unit. oops..im sure its no worries, but i just thought id tell you in case you were a perfectionist...:) My question: What do the letters after timer part number signify? like 3951702 "a", or "e"? important to the application? or just "what factory built", type info. thanks
Answer Hello sopan123. First thank you for the comment. As for the black retainer not being reinstalled, the new timer comes with a new one so there is no need to reinstall the old one. The numbers on the timer are manufacturing and revision numbers and should not apply to the timer working properly in your unit in most cases. Hope this helps. Read More...
