Derrick B for Model Number WTW5540SQ0

Washer starts to agitate at the beginning of the cycle w/o adding any water. In the spin cycle it does add water during the final spin. The pressure switch # W10339251 and valve # WP8578341 have been replaced but still no water. I read your post about this and recommendations to another customer to change the pressure switch. I've done this for the exact same issue but still have no water. While writing this I noticed after the final spin the timer stopped on "off" then within a minute or two the washer started agitating again in another cycle. Extra Rinse is off by the way. I believe this washer has a bad timer. I'd appreciate your thoughts.

Answer

Derrick, First check the air tube between the pressure switch and outer tub connection, Make sure it's not pinched, twisted or kinked. Blow into the end of the tube to make sure there is no sediment or debris blocking the air movement in the tube. If all's OK, then check the wiring harness and connections to the control switches and timer, then replace the timer WP8577356. Thanks,
