Errol, Your first check needs to be at the lid switch assembly 3949247V and strike WP358684. The washer is designed to fill and agitate with the lid open or closed. But the washer will not spin or drain unless the lid is down ( the lid switch is activated). Check and make sure the "strike" is not broken or missing, then check or replace the lid switch assembly.
