Ed C for Model Number Sears Kenmore Electric Dryer 110.62952100 Awhile back my dryer started to stop running prematurely and the signal (end of cycle) would sound that it was finished. This occurs on either the Air Moisture Sensing Plus or the Timed Dry side at about the same spot on the dial. At first it was erratic and then it would happen all of the time at about the same spot on the dial. For example, at the present time I set it on timed dry for 28 minutes and usually the dryer will turn off and signal it’s done at about 22 minutes. In all cases I hit the start button and it will start back up and continue drying the set time. Then on other occasions (setting on 28 minutes) it will not stop at 22 minutes and finish the set time. There have been times it would stop at 40-45 minutes after starting at 60 minutes (and signal), I would hit the start button and it will start drying again and then would stop & signal once again right away. Again, I would hit the start button and it starts back up and move down to about 30 minutes where it would shut off again. That's why I have been setting it at 28 minutes.... I dry all of the time on medium heat.
Answer Hello Ed. Check the vent on the unit first. If it is good, you may actually have a timer iss with the unit and need to replace the timer WP8299771. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Saturday, December 15, 2012
