Fred T Warren , OH November 10, 2014 The old timer wasnt advancing so the dryer overheated and blew the thermal fuse and the thermister i changed out all 3 parts and it works like brand new Changedall 3 parts took dryer apart cleaned all out and its like brand new again. the dryer is a Kenmore and is 13 years old. Edward S Carlsbad , NM November 16, 2014 Appliance: Model 110.60936990 Dryer would turn off during drying cycle (didn't matter which one) and would start immediately with a push of the start button sometimes it only needed one restart other times many All symptoms were being relayed to me as best as my daughter could, but were still pretty vague. I had contacted an Appliance Parts Pros tech expert over chat, and they determined this was most likely to be the problem area. I got the part in very quickly, and replaced it within just a few minutes (the part was a direct and exact fit, but was a slightly different design). The dryer now works perfectly. This was the second dryer I've repaired, to go along with three washers and one refrigerator, all belonging to myself or family members, and all with parts from Appliance Parts Pros. Unfortunately removing the control panel on the Kenmore dryer was different than the video, so it took a while to figure this out. Once I had the back of the panel exposed the YouTube video provided an excellent description of how to change out the old timer with the new. This took less than five minutes. Read More...
