Kent for Model Number 110.74992300 The dryer will not start, run, heat up....nothing. If you set the timer you can hear it run; sometimes it runs thru the cycle it is set for, and other times, it only runs for a few seconds. Pushing the start button causes the timer to quit. The thermal fuse appears to be good when tested with a digital VOM. The thermistor when cold and out of circuit tests open. Without a wiring diagram, I am not sure where to look for the problem. I am hoping you can provide some direction. Thank you
Answer Hello Kent. There should be a wiring diagram on the dryer. The thermister should read around 10k ohms at room temperature. Check the door switch WP3406107. If it is bad, the dryer will not run. You can test this with a multi-meter MA-DM1. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
